You can sit back, relax, and simply enjoy all our events! Or you are hyped, enjoy helping others and want to form some social connections through shared projects - then actively volunteer at ESN Göteborg!  We are a team of volunteers who organize events for international students and provide support. 

Our motto is "Students helping Students".

Who can join?

The name “Erasmus Student Network” is a huge hint. However, we are not exclusively for Erasmus students. All international students, regardless of exchange or full-time, as well as local students, are warmly welcome to join our network. Our events are open to everyone who is interested in international networking!

ESN activities 

We organize a wide range of activities. Sometimes you’ll need to sign up or buy a ticket, but in general, everyone can join. To register for our events, find us on the Hitract app: ESN Göteborg.

We’d be happy to see you at as many events as you like, according to your interests and your schedule.

Member

If you enjoy spending time with us, we recommend becoming a Member by purchasing our ESNcard. The ESNcard gives you great discounts with our local and international partners, as well as on many of our events.

Volunteer / Active Member

For many events, we need people to help with preparation, organization, and communication (including post-event follow-up). We announce in advance which tasks need support, and you can sign up based on your availability.

You can help out once for a specific event or get involved more regularly, it’s entirely up to you. There are no special requirements for joining, and we’re always excited to welcome new volunteers!

Your work will be highly appreciated, and as a thank-you, you’ll receive exclusive extras at events and invitations to special team-building activities

Active Member

After being a volunteer, the next step is to become an Active Member, if you would like to dive deeper into the whole idea and network of the ESN. As an Active Member, you have the right to vote at the annual general meeting (AGM), as well as for other important local decisions. You can also help us improve our work and develop ourselves in the best possible way. 

Committee Member

If you volunteer regularly, you may join one or several of our committees. This gives you   Early access to information and plans. You can give us ideas and suggestions for improvements to our work. Furthermore, you can take part in regular meetings and always be up to date with news about ESN.

Board Member

The heart of our local section! You can apply for one of our seven board positions, and Active Members can vote for you at the AGM. You can get elected to the board for one fiscal year. According to your position, you will have certain responsibilities and have the chance to be the head of a committee. You should attend our meetings regularly and be actively involved in our network. As a board member, you also get the chance to attend national and international events of ESN! Your level of involvement is up to your time, creativity, and ideas, but as a Board Member, you play a central role in shaping ESN Göteborg.
